"The quality of our lives, depends on the quality of our minds." ~ Ravi Shankar
So this is a living world, a mind's world. Realizing this, working with mind is no longer a remote or mysterious thing to do. It is no longer dealing with something that is hidden or somewhere else. Mind is right here. Mind is hanging out in the world. It is an open secret.
The method for beginning to relate directly with mind, which was taught by the Buddha and which has been in use for the past twenty-five hundred years, is the practice of mindfulness. There are four aspects to this practice, traditionally known as the Four Foundations of Mindfulness.
In this workshop we will be covering and exploring through Insight Meditation and other reflections the two first parts of the teachings on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness practice, from a teaching talk given by the Buddha known as the Satipatthana Sutta.
1st Mindfulness of the body
2nd Mindfulness of feelings
* No previous experience in meditation is required. All levels welcome!
