Get the New Year off to a good start with warm fire from BackBends.
Open your heart and have fun making the spine and spirit more supple,
upright, and energized.
Iyengar yoga focuses on alignment to make the energy of the poses fluid and the force of the poses healing.
If backbends scare you.. and going back into the unknown can be
exciting, build confidence by moving slowly: using supported backbends
to increase awareness then paying close attention to alignment in active
poses to stabilize what moves too easily and get the stiff parts to
Do backbends wack you out with too much fire? Work with the alignment to make the heart open but not aggressive and make the adrenals alive not exhausted.
This workshop assumes some familiarity with yoga, at least 6 months
experience. All the poses can be modified to accommodate any body. You
will be able to stay as gentle or go as deep as you want.
It is not How Far, it is How that matters.
